Mounting the Evans Calftone Drumhead on a Djembe Drum

   

As I've shown in this blog, I've been making Djembe drums with Drumhead plastic heads for years. I've tried a variety of them, the two-ply ones mostly sounded dull and too unnatural to me. The best heads in my experience are single-ply heads like Remo Fiberskin or Evans Calftone which I install in the video below.
